i read that there are 2 bleed valves involved in the cooling system. one you don't use, which my dad broke the screw to anyways, and then there is one on top of the water housing..but the picture i saw showed just a screw to be removed to bleed it. on my cavalier there is a metal line going from the top of the water reservoir to the supposed bleed screw i read to use..so..if anyone can help me out id GREATLY appreciate it! i've been wondering for a while how to flush it myself and change the water.the first picture is what i have seen on autozone.com , and then there is the other that shows the bleed valve i don't use.

if you're gonna do a drain and fill on the radiator, drain the radiator, when the engine is cool. as you're filling the system back up, you break loose the screw that is in the line. while the engine is off, until you see coolant running out then tighten. once the radiator is full, start the engine and loosen the other bleeder screw until all the air is out and a steady flow of coolant runs out. those are the highest point of your coolant system to allow to to release the air pockets out of the system. hope the info helps
