Please keep me from pushing my car off a cliff! I submitted a question and took the suggestions and it didn't help.

THE PROBLEM: My car has been "missing" for about a year.

WHAT I'VE DONE:
--2 diagnostics, 1 of which was the dealer. One couldn't find the problem and the dealer said it was the coil pack. It did not solve the issue.
--Transmission checked. Everything ok.
--Replaced: plugs (wires were only 1 year old), belt, alternator, coil pack.

All of these helped performance and would seem to help at first and then things were exactly as before.

I have not been able to come up with a formula as to when it misses. Some days it hardly misses at all and others it will be pretty bad. And it happens when accelerating and decelarating.

My car takes regular gas but Exxon seems to help the situation but not entirely. I filled up with Kroger gas the other night and the car ran rough the next day. I do notice it missing more when the tank is almost on empty.

Car starts fine although if I don't release the key immediately, it makes an irritating sound. Car turns over every time though with no problem.

My love affair with my yellow car is about to end! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
