Car is overheating. Checked thermostat it is fine, thought everything was okay. Took on beltway and it started to overheat and wont restart. Think it could be the water pump? Does the timing have to be replaced as well? Do you have any other suggestions as to what could be wrong with it?

Hello,

Are the cooling fans coming on? If not check the relay. Once you find the relay look at the number on it. Then look at other relays around it if number match swap them out just make sure you mark or remember which ones you swapped. If fans work replace original relay.
