Engine Performance problem
1999 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 175000 miles

Hi there. Car has 175000kms.

The issues I'm having is it can be very hard to start and when it starts it runs very rough for about 10 seconds the smooths out (feels like it running on 2 cyls). It also has a very strong exhaust smell all the time (almost sulfur like). When driving, it's fine, no hesitations or anything.

I know it needs a coolant temp sensor (will be changing it very soon) and I'll probably do a fuel filter at the same time. Plugs and wires have about 20000kms on them.

I am very mechanicaly inclined but this car has me stumped..

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
