Hi, I just started having a problem with the trunk not popping open when I use the keyless remote.
The doors open with no problem with remote.
I opened it with the key and when I closed it, It opened a couple times with the remote and stopped working again. I am not sure if its the actuator switch on the trunk latch or the computer module in the trunk.
I am leaning toward the module because I hear tick tick noise coming from the module when the the trunk does not open with the remote. I had this same problem 6 months ago but started working fine again until now.
On both times for some reason, it blew the fuse to the overhead light inside the car which prevented the door locks to work with the remote. Are these 2 problems related? Many thanks!

Hi danrace
Locate in trunk left side the remote control door lock receiver Black 16 pin connector. Key on with test light back probe yellow wire term J power? if not check fuse for radio, if good key off disconect 16 pin connector and the thunk release solenoid connector. Use ohm meter measure resistance on Black/White between connector and the solenoid connector. If 2ohms replace solenoid. If 0 then repair open in wire.
Suspect solenoid becauce of fuse blowing and on again off again operation.
Good luck
Thank for donation
