I have a 1998 Chevy Cavalier with 178,000 kilometres on it, and recently the dashboard indicator for low coolant has popped up, but only once a day or less. My engine temperature indicator shows the engine at less than the halfway mark, nowhere near ioverheating.
My brake light indicators are also illuminated, despite no problems with them.
Do ou think the coolant light is just another short on the panel? How high should the temperature gauge go before I actually need to add coolant?
