My car started stalling after running for a while, and a mechanic unplugged something under the hood and said that was causing it to stall. Now there is an oil leak. I pulled a few of the spark plugs and they were coated in oil and oil on the ground under my car. I talked to a mechanic on the phone and he said maybe the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. Is this best left to a professional or can I do it myself?

Its not too hard of a job, if you dont know anything about mechanics you may struggle a bit. Try tightening the bolts down a bit and see how it goes, dont overtorque or you will crush the gasket and it will leak.
