my heating core is broken and needs to be replaced,i was wondering about how much this is going to cost and if its worth it price wise considering the age of the car.

I replaced my heater core also and it cost $25-30 for a new one. I don't know what it will cost to have it fixed by a mechanic. It's fairly easy to fix. The location is behind the radio. You have to remove the plastic from behind the dash area. You will find it right in there.
