Engine Performance problem
1994 Chevy Caprice V8 Automatic 170000 miles

the problem with my car is that its very slow waste alot of gas I was told that tha injectors mite be cloged but I took them to get clean car still slow and im using tha expensive gas to then I was told it was the engine management ignition sensor I replaced it and same problem then I was told it could be tha fuel pressure regulator but I dont wanna buy till I know its that cuz its like 100 bucks and if its not thats just a waste plz help

Inspect and test all the following listed below:

Oxygen sensor
Catalytic converter
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)
Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Cap and rotor

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.
