I recently bought a 93 z28. After getting the spark plugs and wires replaced I began having problems starting my car. It will start when it wants to. I think the longest it's ever taken to start is maybe 5-10 minutes. It sounds like something is not catching. I'm not sure if it is the fly wheel or the starter. One pattern that I've noticed is that when I turn the car on without starting the engine the car starts up easier. Is it really the starter? I just don't want to replace the part and then have the same problems again.

1. Make and Model of your Car

2. Include the mileage
over 200k
3. Stick Shift or Automatic Transmission
Auto
4. 2 or 4 wheel drive
2
5. Strange sounds
only when trying to start
6. Fluid leaks
rear differential, tranny, & oil....problems
7. Past repair history if applicable
recently bought project so I have replaced......
distributor
distributor cap
spark plugs
wireset

Could be your ignition switch/NSS/Starter relay or a fuel pressure problem
