I have a 1988 camaro. Its been sitting for about ten or so years. Not including moving it here and there. Ive had several relatives look at it. But the thing is, I can start the car. It will run fine. And I usually let it idle for 10 or 20 minutes but as soon as I put it into drive, it dies.

i dont have any idea as to what could cause this. I just want my baby to run again!

By the sounds of it, this is a lock-up torque convertor problem. The convertor lock is stuck on so the torque convertor is "solid" when you put it in gear.
Check the lock up solenoid on the trany also. If its stuck it will bind the motor and cause it to stall. Also since it has been sitting so long. Change the plugs wires fuel filter and put fresh gas in. When Cars sit to long the transmission has to warm up to even be put in gear also. Change the trany fluid and filter also.
