I have a 1986 Trans-Am with a 1980 Camaro 350 5.7 V8. It starts but has an extremely rough idle, it knocks lightly and has next to nothing for acceleration. This car was running great pulling low 13's on the quarter mile just last month, then suddenly all this happened. I checked the oil and didn't find any metal shavings, so I'm pretty sure the rods are alright, perhaps a spun bearing? What else could it be? Timing? Valve's need adjusting? Any info or opinions would be great!
