I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer and the gas gauge has been broken since I bought it. What could the problem be and how can I fix it? Thanks

If wiring to gauge is and instrument cluster is OK then suspect faulty fuel level sending unit. Need to replace unit if wiring is OK.
