2.2 started missing on the way home the other day. When I got home I pulled the plug wires one at a time and found that the wire to #3 plug made no difference plugged in or unplugged. When I pulled plug wire off there was plenty of spark bouncing around off of the wire simular to the other wires when pulled. I then switched the plugs from a working cylinder and it made no difference. Right now I have the upper intake man. Off and pulled the #2, and #3 injectors. When I pulled both injectors out, there seemed to be an equal amount of gas in the injector port and both didn't visually appear to be clogged. The missing in the motor is rythmic (steady), and there is no abnormal engine noise. I had a new head installed 7000 miles ago because of a blown head gasket and car has ran perfectly until now. There has been an intermittant check engine light the last approx. 500 miles but only came on shortly after starting down the road and only stayed on approx. 30 to 60 seconds. I am going to go get some injector o-rings, switch the injectors around and reinstall. Any other suggestions?

Hi jimtravel, Welkcome to 2carpros and TY forthe donation

A specific misfire should lead you to check the plug/compression and injector-you did the plug-follow your plans on the injectors-Last check the compression both wet and dry test on no.3
