I have rebuilt my engine, and after reinstalling it, my car would not charge. I had the generator checked twice and it is good. I have no power at the L terminal at generator plug to ground with ignition on. I have checked both fuses no. 9, and no. 4 both are good. With the ignition switch in run the voltmeter in dash, and my voltage meter both read the same. I pulled the instrument cluster and checked between Term “Z" and term “D" with the ignition in run, and still read the same as the voltmeter in cluster. I have checked all connections on engine and all grounds I could find, all are good. Was hoping there is some thing else to check or do. I do not what to replace the cluster unless there is no other choice.

OK here is how it goes. Fuse number 9 to the charging indicator in the instrumtent cluster then term L. So I would check the bulb for the charge light. You could also check for a break in the pink wire from fuse 9 to the cluster and for a break in the brown wire from the cluster to the L term. Let me know how it goes.
