2004 Chevrolet Avalanche Repair Question
2004 Chevy Avalanche hard steering hard brake pedal
2004 Chevy Avalanche V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 40000 miles
i was trying to go up hill and turning to the left i heard a noise then my steering got hard and so did my brake pedall.got very hard to stop and steer no noticable fluid lose on ground or in resevoirs its very snowy hear and snow is packed in arond suspension
you should clear as much of the snow out of the suspension as possible. But you may have a hydrauic brake booster with that is run by the powersteering pump. Check to make sure it is full and then if that's ok, take it to a prowhere he can check to see if thepressure is up to snuff to run the brake booster and power steering. Also check to see if the return hose is kinked, it will be the one that doesn't have the crimped ends and if memory serves me right it will go from the steering box to the back of the resovoir.
