2004 Chevy Avalanche V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 67000 miles
The battery has smoke coming for vent. I had it checked and they told me it was good just needed to be charged but my alternator was bad so i replaced it. It is still smoking what can that mean?

may need some distilled water added to it
