1998 Chevy Astro Over heating

Engine Cooling problem
1998 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My van is over heating and I have already replaced the radiator, the hoses, the thermostat and the water pump. I'm not sure what else it could be. The water in the radiator is not getting hot but the gauge says the van is running hot. Please help me with some ideas.

Are you sure it is overheating and the gauge is just not right?

If you've done everything already i.e., water pump, radiator, thermostat, etc. try replacing the temp swtich. This may be causing the gauge not to operate.
