I have to crank the motor over for five or so minutes until it will start. After it finally starts it runs good and will restart good but if I let it sit for a couble of hours then I have to crank it over and over again.

Hi:
Is the check engine light on? If not, I would start by checking fuel pump pressure. Many parts stores will lend or rent the tool. If you need to see how it's done, check out this video.
