1986 Chevy Astro u joint replacement

Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1986 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 185000 miles

The front u joints needed replacing, but the yoke and the driveshaft do not have grooves for the retaining clips. The replacement u joints came with c clips and I don't know where the clips are to be installed. Can you advise me? Thank you

See what looks like a little plactic coming out a small hole? GM uses a sealant take a propane torch heat up cap stuff wiill come out then pop out joint. New one clips go to insde grove
