Car won't start after head gasket replacement

I have replaced the head gasket on both sides and put the car back together and now it won't turn over and when I take the key out of the ignition the temp gauge peaks and the battery and check engine light stay illuminated please help

There are a number of things that we need to start with checking. First and foremost, we need to run a compression check as that is the easiest and quickest way to know if we have an issue.

The next thing is to check the timing. Basically, if you took the heads off and didn't get the timing exactly correct then this engine will turn over but not start.

Lastly, we need to check the basics like fuel pressure and spark. If we don't have one of the two of these then we need to track that down as it will cause this issue.

Take a look at the info below and that will include the timing marks. Please inspect your timing marks and we can go from there.
