The car hesitates on acceleration. It doesn't respond to the accelerator position. The position sensor has been changed. IAC changed. Ignition control module changed. MAF sensor changed. Coils and plug wires changed. New plugs. All the vacuum system has bees gone over and any check valves and old hoses changed. If the accelerator is pressed hard the car will downshift and accelerate fast. The engine fault code is ignition control module. Don't know what else there is short of the
cpu.

I fhte fault code is the ignition module then evidently it's bad or wires are shorted/open. Check that first.

The ignition control module has been changed. Sometimes the car will run fine as I drive it, other times it will stumble and not respond to the accelerator until I press on it hard enough to downshift.

Then scan for codes and check for open wires to pcm, a bad pcm and check fuel pressure with a gauge. Fp should be 41-47 psi
