Car shutting off while running

Just a short question about a it seems common problem with my 1999 Izuzu Rodeo 3.2 6cyl LSE. I want to keep it so trying to solve the problem.
I has shut off a couple of time in last 2-3 weeks while driving. First time started right up second time took 2-3 minutes. What is the term for the computer on the car that could cause this. Also could fuel pump apparatus cause this?

Such problems are common for any makes or models. You need to perform diagnostics to find out what could be wrong.
When and how it stalls should be clear to understand what could be the cause.
