It is like the car is starved for petrol or a learner manual driver is behind the wheel? I did have problems with the transmission, a clicking sound but this was solved by changing the transmission oil to the manufacturers choice. This was about 3-4 months ago and there were no further problems in that respect.

not much to go on.

Is the check engine light on??
How long since basic tune up parts done??

could be a vacuum leak, bad idle air control, dirty throttle body, are among many of the possibilities.

Hi there

Yes the engine light do come on over a period of 2 weeks ( maybe 4 times). Every time I went to take it to the mechanic the light would go off. It hasnt come on again since and now this problems we are discussing is occuring. I have the car maintained on a regular basis. I feel better with your diagnoisis however I will take it to the mechanic and find out what it is as I use my vehicle for work, I will let you know exactly what the problem is when I get back.

Regards Robyn
