once i've drivin my car around for awhile in its get real hot i put the car in park and it jerks real hard and my rpms go way up

Way up, as in around 1500 rpm? Check for a vacuum leak in the intake plenum boot. This is often not visible, it occurs around the bottom side of the boot, it splits. You can also get a check engine light, and lean codes for both banks P0171, and P0174.
