2008 Cadillac SRX changing air filter

When I open hood all I see is trhis massive plastic cover with no easy way to remvove it, I suspect its really simple but not apparent. I assume if the cover is removed the air filter assembly is is a normal screw or clip removal

This is 4.6L procedure:
Air Cleaner Element Replacement
Removal Procedure

Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the vehicle. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.

Remove the air cleaner housing screws.
Open the air cleaner housing.
Remove the air cleaner element.
Remove any loose debris that may be found laying in the base of the air cleaner.
Installation Procedure

Install the new air filter element.
Close the air cleaner housing.
Ensure the air cleaner assembly cover tabs are properly aligned to the air cleaner housing.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Install the air cleaner housing screws.
Tighten
Tighten the air cleaner housing screws to 3 N Â m (27 lb in).

Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.

3.6L HFV6 is similar, and I believe the same element.
