Dear 2CarPros,

I am currently having issues with my ac unit. My dash was reading: "low refrigerant", so I had to attach a jumper wire on my lower pressure switch plug. Before I did this, I vaccumed down the system, and recharged the system with the proper amount of free-on refrigerant. Next, I took the jumper wire off, and reattached it to the cycling switch. But, the compressor would not come on. The dash contiunally reads: "low free-on". There are 2 lbs. In the system, so I know it's not low. So, in order for the ac to work, I have to leave the jumper wire on. Please help! Thank you for your time.

Thanks,
DMojica

You have codes in the system, they need to be removed before it will run, so it couldnt have ran with a jumper wire
