I just had to purchase new tires for my '07 escalade. It has the 22" wheels. It's the first set of tires I've needed since purchasing the vehicle. The day they put the new tires on I noticed the steering wheel shaking at around 60-65 and worse at around 75. It has never done this before and I wonder if it could be the tires. I took it back today and they rebalanced the wheels but it still does it. Any ideas why this is happening?

When they rebalanced the tires, did they do a load force balance? Load force balances tires while loading them to simulate weight on them. It is somewhat rare, but not uncommon for a tire to have a manufacturing defect like a hard or high spot. You might choose to have a second opinion on the balance, that is what it sounds like you have occurring. Check with who sold you the tires, or the prospective vendor, and inquire about load force before you go any further.
