2002 Cadillac Escalade V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Blew a front shock - What will happen if I replace with the cheaper [$60] shock instead of the $300 electronic one? Will it effect brakes, etc? Thanks.

Due to the shock being electronic, your ride will go to crap. As long as there are shocks there it shouldn't effect the brakes----as long as you do both and not just one. I think there is a place called strutmasters that offer an alternative to your situation.
