I took my car to a shop and they said that no exhaust is coming from the car. I have to get a new catylac converter and whole new exhaust. They stated that a catylac converter can not be replaced with out me getting a new exhaust. i have a 2001 cadillac deville. Is this true or can i jusy have the catylac converter replaced.

Is the exhaust leaking ?
Get the catalytic converter put on without the new exhaust
