2000 Cadillac Deville Air Vents won't open

I have a 200 Deville DHS and get a clicking sound from behind the radio. It clicks for about 30 seconds and then stops. And the air vents won't open. I know it is something out od alignment. Is there any instructions on how to take this air vent controller out and fix it? I have taken the dash apart and see where it is. Just don't know how to get it out.

To get the dash pad out there are 4 screws, get a pair of plyers and a rag and grab the vents ( the 2 in the middle and the outside ones and just give them a yank ) sometimes they break so be careful. Then the screws are in there ( each vent ) pull out the dash pad, the wood grain will have to come off next
