1998 Cadillac Deville EGR valve

My check engine light came on and I took it up to auto zone and they checked it and said it was my egr vavle. Now can I do something about it myself or do I have to take it to the dealer?

Its easy to replace, but buy it at the dealer, not auto-zone, (auto-zone parts dont last or if they work at all) or buy it from NAPA
