I have changed the caliper and the brake is still hanging up. It happens intermitantly. I can be driving along and then feel the front end of the car just plowing. I have gotten out and the drivers side wheel can be to hot to touch. If I just tap the brakes most of the time it will release. When I replaced the rotor and bled the brakes I couldn't get the pads to release with back pressure. We opened the bleeder valve and flluid shot to the wheel wall.

When opening the bleeder valve does that loosen up the caliper? If so I woudl suspect a bad brake line on that side, usually a plugged flexible line will cause that, fluid will go in under hih pressure but wont release due to the clog.

Yes when I left the bleeder valve open I could retract the pads with more fluid coming out. The odd thing is that it does this for a while and then it doesn't do it. When it does do it and I stop the front side of the car starts smoking from the pad heat.

Id try a new flexible brake line, relatively cheap and easy to replace.

Let me know how it goes.
