I have 94 Cadillac Deville Concours. It has the 4.6 liter Northstar v-8. The runs fine while the engine is cool. The car seems to have a fuel problem after it is warm, it sputters and hesitates and sometimes dies. This happens with a full tank of fuel also. We have had the computer replaced, crank senors and cam sensors, and the coil packs replaced. What is the pressure supposed to be from the fuel pump?Any suggestions on what else might be causing the problem?

Hi:
Yes, the fuel pump should be checked for pressure and volume. However, has anyone checked the map sensor? If it has a low voltage problem, it could have an affect on engine performance.

Let me know what you find.
Joe

When your catallactic converter is bad your car will act the same way, runs fine till you build up pressure cost me 500 at a cad. Dealer had same thing happen on my pickup cut a hole in front of converter and took right off, tem. Fix. Before it got really bad I could pull over, turn off car & let the pressure blead off & run till it built back up. If you block the exhaust a car will not run.
