The cruise control works rarely on my 01 Catera. I have replaced the brake switch and cruise release switch. If I disconnect my battery it will always work for a few minutes, every time. After that it stops again. Do you think its in the ECM? I can not find a cruise module any where. The car has the electronic throttle and not the cable driven cruise system? I'm guessing its the ECM but your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Alot for you help as I have run out of clues on this problem?

Disconnect the negative battery post, read your owners manual on resetting after battery failure. Reset everything per the instructions in the owners manual when you reconnect the negative terminal again. Try this and see if its just a glitch prior to spending any money. If you don't have your owners manual, search googles, there is a PDF owners manual online free of charge.
