I have a 1986 buick somerset and when I turn on my car its takes a long time to heat up the car and sometimes doesnt even heat can somebody please help?

Check to see if your coolant is full first as that is the #1 cause of no heat. Then after the car is warmed up check top hose for being hot if it'snot, then replace your thermostat.
