1996 Buick Roadmaster occasional chattering of rear of car

Shakes or Wobbles problem
1996 Buick Roadmaster V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The rear of the car occasional chatters up and down I have put new shocks on the tires are balanced and do not shake or bounce. I have changed the spark plugs the spark plug wires the distributor the water pump.
The car runs great and gets good gas milage. It has no codes in the terminal. My machanic still thanks it is ign related but I am at my wits end. Thanks

Thanks for your reply Jacobandnickolas. No the engine doesent miss. I have found the problem. It was the TORQUE CONVERTER . A can of shudder gard fixed it. After my brother and another mechanic said how common it was I am surprised no one on here knew what it was. Thanks anyway

You got me because I thought it was coming from the rear. I wasn't thinking transmission when you said that. It is hard sometimes to identify a problem when you are not there to actually experience it.

Regardless, I'm glad you found the problem.
