I started the car to warm up and went back inside, the car died and hasn't fired since. It is getting gas and there is spark coming from the coil to the distributor. I have replaced the cap, rotor and control module in the distributor but there is still no spark coming out of the distributor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

There is spark coming from the coil to the distributor.

Double check the rotor and cap button it has to go thru there to get to the plugs. Its getting spark that means the distributor pick-up and control module is doing their job.

Try this turn key On and look for battery power at the ignition coil positive terminal could be the ignition switch acting up. Try this a couple of times

Thanks for all your help. Finally had to get it on a code reader and found out it was the distributor gears. About half the teeth were sheared off. The rotor was only turning every now and then. Had to replace the distributor and now is running great. Just to let everyone know.I had this distributor replaced by Buick about 3 years ago. Didn't know that they quit making this distributor about 6 years ago. Buick recalled these distributors for the exact reason that I had problems with. So guys make sure that you get the new style distributors for the Roadmaster if you have these problems. Again, thanks everyone for your help.
