Electrical problem
1991 Buick Riviera 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

dash lights and A/C do not function----recently, the computer was cleared and both worked for several days---then, the dash lights went out and later the A/C failed to operate---the dash lights go on and off randantly---the car does not have to be bumped---is the problem a relay---the A/C is fully charged---it must be electrical?

Hello and thanks for donating

Do you have manual A/C controls or a digital (automatic) A/C system? When you say the A/C goes out, do you mean it blows warm air or it doesn't blow anything at all?

Ok, if clearing the computer helped it for a bit then it would seem as though the computer itself is the fault. Cleaing the computer would not effect any other component aside from the computer itself so if it fixed the issue then swap it with a known good one and see if it corrects the issue.
