Hello, I have a buick rendezvous and I love my car. It serves me well and also still runs very good. However these past months it has been making a loud humming noise when I dirve. When I come to a complete stop, the noise goes away. This noise doesn' t seem to affect the performance of the car, but is very annoying and noticeable--so noticable, I have to turn on the radio to drown it out. What coukd this be? Is it serious? Is it ball joint/tire rod related? Please Help.

Humming/whinning noise is normally a bad hub bearing, if you try this test with the radio off, drive straight down the road, quickly snap the wheel right then left, if it is a hub bearing the noise will diminish on the opposite wheel from the direction of the quick snap, ie, right snap and a quiting of the noise would be the left bearing.
