1989 Buick Reatta Erratic llight bulb

1989 Buick Reatta 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 99500 miles
Buick Reatta rear light assembly has six 2057 double filament brake/directional light bulb. It is extremely difficult to to get at the bulbs. Have one bulb that is erratic when in the turning mode, sometimes it brightens up and then does not. Bulb lights up in its normal static mode. Is this indication of a bulb with a defective filament?
