2002 Buick Park Avenue rear window defroster

The rear window defroster dosen't work. The light on the dashboard comes on when pushing the button but the window doesn't melt snow and ice. Can this be fixed?

Yes it can be fixed.

I have a 1998 with the same issue. Found a good write-up by "Backyard_Jim" here:
