Car has fire and fuel good compression computer keeps setting code 41 mel-cal or emc problem. Also backfires through muffler when you turn loose of ignition switch. Any ideas

Im pretty sure that code requires replacement of the cars ecm and or the prom.

Are you sure code 41 is memcal code. I dont have my alldata running right now so I cant double check. I thought the memcal code was 51. I think 41 is cam sensor but im not a hundred percent sure. If you still are having trouble tomorrow, post again and ill research it for you.

Code 41 in my book is module if carb or mem-cal or emc problem if fuel injected
