Stops at random

1997 Buick LeSabre, 101 500 miles, 3.8 L engine. My car will stop at ramdom usuallly when slowiing down from about 30 m p h. It has not happened going fast. It just stalls, I shift to neutral and it starts right up. Car may run for weeks and never stop. Then it will stop. This started about 3 months ago. Otherwise no other mechanical problems

could be an ignition control module or a crank sensor going out.I would have it checked for codes.
