Buick Lesabre Repair Question

Stereo/cassette player
1998 Buick LeSabre
car has over 100K mi ( new eng - has less )
problem - sound system
radio/cd functions still work but......
cassette player will no longer seat the cassette to play mode - pushing eject button causes downward motion then up, then down and starts spinning, clicking and garbling noises.....have to manually pull cassette out .....is there a probe, release/pressure arm/point that is misaligned or , debris blocking tray to rest and engage, or do i need to replace entire unit ?[/b]
