WHY WOULD I HAVE A HUGE SPOT ON GROUND THAT APPEARS TO BE OIL BUT DOESNT SHOW TO BE LOW WHEN I CHECK IT? WHERE COULD THIS BE COMING FROM

Hi:
First make sure it is oil. Is it brown? Check the brake fluid and powersteering fluid to make sure they are not leaking.

If it is oil, it could be leaking from many places. The drain plug, oil filter, oil pan, valve covers... Can you tell if it is coming from the front or the rear of the engine compartment?
