1998 Buick Lesabre Blower fan problem

Heater problem
1998 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 92,400 miles

The blower fan does not always operate in the high position. Some days it will come on in the high position a couple of times then it will not operate for several days. The lower speed settings work fine.

I changed the heater fan relay but it has not affected the high speed fan operation.

hello, I'd test the wiring circuits at the relay, when the problem occurs. The red wire is voltage for high-speed, should be hot all the time. The right side of diagram is the load side, carries voltage to the motor. The left side of diagram is control for the coil side of relay, those squiggle lines. When the relay is energized, that arm on the load side will switch to the red wire terminal. If the relay just plugs into a socket, you probably can't see the wiring colors, usually the relay has a wiring diagram on top.

Check AC fuse 30amp if okay power should be at the red wire on the blower relay socket, power here and the AC/Heater control switch at H1 and it doesn't come on swap or replace the blower motor relay that don't work check for an open circuit from the orange wire at the blower motor relay socket to the AC/Heater control assy pin C 52.
