1995 Buick Lesabre check engine light

Put new battery in sunday and drove it no light on went to drive it monday and after starting and looking down noticed the check engine light was on tried to hook up computer scan and it didnt connect and then unhooked the negative cable on the battery and it went off not coming back on until after ten minutes and dont have a clue why the battery is the right on for that make and model and year of car

If you know where the data link connector is, then use a paper clip and cross the two top right leads then turn the key so "on" not start! Then count the flashes...post results here...a code 32 will flash as 33 flashes then a shot pause, then 2 flashes, if more than one code is present, it will pause a bit longer between them! Get a pencil and paper and write them all down!
