I replaced the TPS & I am having a real problem with knowing how to "adjust" it. I have seen diagrams of how you read the different voltages but I don't know how you adjust it. Can u help me out? Thanx Duane (baldy). The reason I request a free question is because I am on SSI & SSD.

Hi Duane,

Well, lets see what we can do.

First you will need a Digital Volt Meter.

Next you will need 3 jumper wires.

Now, you will need to disconnect the TPS and Connect the Sensor to the Harness ussing the jumper wires.

Then turn ignition on engine off.

Then connect the meter to the Dark Blue and Black terminals.

With Throttle at Closed Position adjust TPS to specified voltage.

3.1L - .55

3.3L - .38 -.42

3.8L - .33 -.46
