I UN HOOKED BATTERY NOW CAR WILL NOT IDLE. WHEN STOPPED & TURN SIGNAL IS ON THE FUEL PUMP SPEEDS & SLOWES DOWN WITH THE TURN SIGNAL OR WHEN STOP & GOING THE FUEL PUMP SPEEDS UP & SLOWS DOWN.

On this engine 3.1T there is a process to reset the idle using a gm scan tool, but unfortunately you dont have one, I would start by cleaning the idle air control valve and clean out the throttle body and disconnect battery again, reconnect battery and drive vehicle over 40 mph for 5 minutes if at all possible, this is the generic way of setting the iac valve. Hope this helps
